Golden Pavillion
They say it’s the most famous temple in Japan. It’s certainly the most shiny. Kinkaku-ji (The Temple of the Golden Pavillion) is not actually a temple but a pavillion where an ex-shogun lived out his days. The actual temple is rather unremarkable.
This pavillion is only 50 years old, the replica of the original that was burnt to he ground by an insane monk in 1950. There’s apparently a novel on the incident. Would love to track it down one day.

Nice shot!!
